~Men's Ministry~

Men's Lunch Group will meet at noon on Tuesdays, February 14 and 28 at noon in the Church Parlor. Lunch and beverages will be provided.

Men's Ministry's next meeting will be on Sunday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Parlor.

New Men's Group - "Uncommon Man" is an outgrowth of the Men's Ministry.

The Men’s Fellowship has worked at Whosoever Gospel Mission in Germantown a couple of times. The mission has been helping men with alcohol and substance abuse issues ever since its founding in 1892. More than a homeless shelter, the mission helps rehabilitate men by providing training and assistance in finding employment. Tragically, in February 2006, an arson file destroyed one of the mission’s buildings, and water damage following the fire made the other uninhabitable. Now, with insurance settlements resolved, the mission is trying to get back on its feet. Church groups from around the area have been pitching in to help. Nine men from our Men’s Fellowship spent a day working on demolition of water damaged interior structures, and sorting through goods recovered from the damaged building to determine which could be salvaged for sale at the mission's thrift shop and disposing of the rest. Another group of six men went back to the mission to assemble six bunk beds.
