Director of Children and Family Ministries
Janice is a native of Tiffin, OH. She grew up in the First Presbyterian Church where her parents served as organists and choir directors. She spent her childhood years performing in the choirs, handbell choirs, and liturgical dance. Janice graduated from Ohio University cum laude in 1998 with her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. From 1998-2000, she was the high school choral director at Northwest High School in Canal Fulton, OH. In addition to her responsibilities directing all high school choirs and show choir, she was the Director of the High School Musicals. In 2000 Janice accepted a position in the school district her husband Matt was teaching. She served for 2 years in the Carrollton School District as the Jr. High Choral Director. In 2002 Janice and Matt moved to Athens, OH so Matt could work on his Masters Degree. While there, Janice taught elementary music for 3 years in the Logan Hocking School District. While there, Janice received the Teacher of the Year Award.
