Hunting Park Christian Academy is a school located in the Hunting Park neighborhood of North Philadelphia, a neighborhood where staggering educational inequality exists along socioeconomic and racial lines. HPCA has been committed to fighting these inequalities with the love of Jesus for over 20 years by providing a quality, affordable  Christian education for all of its students, the majority of whom grow  up living under the poverty line.

HPCA currently serves 155 students from prekindergarten to eighth grade, celebrating its diverse student body from many different ethnicities, races, and nationalities. The goals for the students are that they respond to the Gospel, ignite their community for positive change, serve God and others, and excel in academics and life. Many of their students have gone on to complete college, in an area of Philadelphia where many students don’t complete high school. Some are now teaching at the school.

HPCA is making and has made a difference in the lives of many in Hunting Park–the children and their families.  Although tuition is low, the scholarship program assures that any student who wants to attend is able to do so. Most of the teachers live in Hunting Park and therefore are involved in the community as well.
